Three weeks ago we welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Arrow Grey Wright into the world at 1:15 pm on March 22nd, weighing in at 6lbs, 11oz and 21 inches long. I can’t wait to share my birth story with you guys soon. We were lucky enough to have my bestie, Ashley in the delivery room to take photos and document the big day. Having a chance to sit down lately and write a blog post has been so hard, so you can imagine why the birth story will come in time.
We are slowly starting to get into the swing of things and we are building a routine. I’m currently writing this however at midnight while breast feeding. I take that back. I stopped writing literally right there and I am now writing again at 2 o’clock the next day.
Anyways, the week after Arrow was born Ashley came to our house to take some pictures (what would I do without her?! Seriously I have such a good bestie). I am so thankful for these sweet photos of him so fresh and new. We have had the sweetest three weeks with him so far. He really is such a good baby… unless he needs something and well that’s a lot of the time. Having a newborn is hard but honestly the best and most rewarding thing I have ever experienced. My heart has grown for everyone around me times a million. When they say it takes a village they aren’t kidding. I didn’t know I could love this baby so much and my husband and family that has helped anymore than I already do.
Here are some of the pictures we took.
P.S. a little behind the photos TMI (because social media makes everything look glamorous and I want to be real). See the pretty pics in his nursery by the window. Yeah… when we were taking those I literally started gushing blood and had ran to the toliet. I had to sit on a towel or have a towel under me just in case the rest of the shoot. You may ask why are you giving us this gross detail. Well my blogger friends, that is because no one told me recovery was really hard. And also that life after baby is so unpredictable. On the bright side, it always makes for a good laugh and story later!
