After we told family and friends we were keeping the gender of the baby a surprise, their main question was, how would we find gender neutral clothes? While shopping was a little bit of a challenge, we enjoyed finding neutral outfits for a baby boy or girl. There are so many cute patterns, colors, and ideas now thanks to Instagram, Pinterest and Etsy. I will still be doing a huge shopping spree once we find out the gender.  I have found some really cute gender neutral shops for basics in the past few months. Here are some of my faves:

TJ Indigo

OKAY how cute is this tie-dye onesie?! Boy or girl, this is so cute. I thought that it was such a fun and unique take on an everyday baby outfit. TJ Indigo is a cute little shop I found on Etsy that hand makes clothing and bedding. They use 100% natural fibers and natural indigo dye. Each piece has it’s own unique design too, because they are handmade!

Loved Baby

Loved Baby, is a online store that I found through a friends blog, (Rachel-at-home, check out her blog, she is the sweetest and cutest mom). They have great basics in so many soft and unique colors. I love this olive green color for a boy or girl. When you are shopping gender neutral it is easy to get sick of grey, black and white. I’m always excited to find a new color that works for a boy or girl. Loved Baby’s pieces are 100% organic cotton and are super soft and form fitting.

Stevie Wanders

I found Stevie Wanders while searching through Instagram, and I am glad I did. Not only is the shop owner the absolute sweetest but her designs are sweet too. Stevie Wanders hand makes rompers, and bloomers. While shopping for gender neutral clothes we found a lot of basics, but it was hard to find solid outfits. I love the pattern of this romper, and I’m excited for our little boy or girl to wear it this summer.

Polar Bear kids is on Etsy and they sell an array of baby clothes. My favorite thing about this shop was all the fun, and unique patterns. Fun patterns are a good alternative to colors to switch things up when shopping for gender neutral clothes. They have so many patterns that I loved, it was honestly hard to decide on just one.
If you’re not going to learn the gender of your baby there are so many options from colors, and patterns to solid neutrals that your baby can wear.  Dale and I had a lot of fun not learning our baby’s gender because we felt like we got more of an opportunity to choose our baby’s style and outfits, rather than a slew of different gender appropriate choices, which may have not been our style. Also, we are still excited because we still get to meet our baby and learn it’s gender for the first time in the hospital.
