20 weeks!

October 28, 2016

” Woah, we’re half way there. Woah, livin’ on a prayer”. We are 20 weeks and half way there! Everything is getting more real and even more exciting. I feel like I constantly have something on my to-do list or something I should be researching. I love check-lists and I find a weird satisfaction from crossing something off a list. I started a binder with a weekly check-list I found on Pinterest. Also, I printed out a hospital bag check-list,…

Hello my lovely friends. This past weekend, Dale and I went with all of our family to Huber’s for pumpkin picking. This is always my favorite fall activity. We search for pumpkins, take pictures, drink hot cider, and enjoy a yummy country meal at the farm’s restaurant. I am so thankful for my big family that just keeps growing. Twenty two of us went to Huber’s this weekend (which sadly I didn’t get a picture of everyone… sometimes it’s so hard…

Meeting Selena Gomez

June 26, 2016
Processed with VSCO with e8 preset

This Wednesday was my 26th birthday. So naturally, I celebrate like any normal 26 year old would by going to a Selena Gomez concert! One of my besties, Alex, got us meet and greet tickets saw we got to see Selena before the show. The day was so fun. I went to Alex’s house before and she did my makeup (she used to work at Sephora and is a makeup guru). We then went to the venue, and of course while…

DIY Industrial Hanging Light

April 6, 2016

Slowly but surely our house is starting to feel home-like. I feel like I always have something in queue for our next house project. This past week Dale and I made this Industrial hanging light for our kitchen. Lights can be so expensive but by doing this as a DIY project we saved so much money (lights like this online typically were upwards of $300). After everything was said and done it was no more than $150. Dale and I…

“He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said.”  -Mathhew 28:6Hi guys! I hope that you had a blessed and happy Easter with your families. Today’s post is a little look into my Easter Sunday with my family. I am so thankful for Easter and to have the time to reflect on the life of Jesus and the sacrifice he paid for us on the cross. It really is crazy to comprehend that he loved us that much and…

A Dream Come True

September 30, 2015

When we started to plan our wedding the most important part to me was that it was “our” wedding and not just “my” wedding. Our vision/theme for the day was to bring California to Kentucky. Since our Cali-tucky wedding took place in a barn we felt it expressed enough country vibes, so we aimed for everything else about our day to be pretty chic (although we did eat BBQ on china plates). The biggest thing I learned about planning a wedding…

I can’t take my eyes off of you

September 16, 2015

A new trend for couples getting married is to have a “first look”. Tradition says that you shouldn’t see the bride before she walks down the aisle.  Because of that tradition Dale and I had a hard time deciding whether or not a first look was for us. (Just in case you didn’t know,  some of our best friends Ashley and Ben from Firm Anchor Photography took our photos. ) Ash was in my wedding party and has been one of…

Wifey

July 28, 2015

For officially one month Dale and I have been calling each other “husband” and “wife”. It feels so Wright (pun intended) to call him my husband and it’s silly how excited it makes me. Titles mean a lot in relationships because it defines where you are at. People always ask me, “when did you know you wanted to marry him?”. From the beginning, in my gut, I knew Dale was the one and it scared the @#$%^ out of me…

Showered with Love

April 30, 2015

This past Sunday, my sweet momma hosted a bridal shower for me! It’s hard to believe that the long wait to be married is coming to an end with only 58 days left until I am MRS. WRIGHT! Having the shower this weekend made everything seem so real and got me soooo excited for the big day as all my Kentucky friends and family gathered to shower me in love. The shower was located at a local winery and my mom…
